Game rules
A plain-language guide to predictions, scoring and your rights. The question-specific rules version shown when you predict remains authoritative for that selection.
Free participation
Fan League is free to enter and no purchase is necessary. It is not real-money betting. Fan Points and optional Challenge Chips have no monetary value, cannot be purchased or transferred, and cannot be withdrawn or redeemed for cash, goods, tickets, gift cards or cryptocurrency.
Making a prediction
Only published options for an eligible sporting event can be selected. The FansSpace server—not the device clock—decides whether a prediction arrived before the lock. A confirmed prediction records its server acceptance time, deadline and revision.
Changes and locking
A selection may be revised while its question remains open. Every accepted revision is retained. After the official lock, the prediction is immutable and an already locked challenge will not be silently reopened.
Scoring
The points available are shown on each question. A standard correct event outcome starts at 10 Fan Points; sport-specific questions use the versioned rule shown on the challenge. Incorrect predictions receive zero accuracy points. Historic scores remain tied to the original rules version.
Verified results
Points are awarded only after an authoritative final result is verified. A live score or an event page marked ended is not enough. Unsupported or ambiguous outcomes remain pending or are voided; FansSpace does not guess results.
Postponed, abandoned or cancelled events
A challenge may remain locked while an official schedule decision is confirmed. Depending on the published rule and verified event identity, it may be rescheduled, replaced or voided. Voided questions award no points and do not count against prediction accuracy.
Official corrections
If a governing body corrects a result, FansSpace preserves the earlier evidence and applies an auditable points adjustment. A correction may update standings and Fan IQ without creating a duplicate award.
Fan IQ
Fan IQ measures demonstrated prediction performance, not spending, posting or popularity. It remains provisional until enough eligible settled predictions exist, and can be recalculated after an official correction.
Privacy and sharing
Your personal prediction history is private unless your visibility settings or an explicit sharing action make an eligible result public. Private circles and hidden selections are not included in public community breakdowns.
